Knights of Columbus Council 11529 (Saint Monica) Annual Rubber Duck Race, Saturday September 28th 2019, 11A at Pine Park in Lakewood, NJ. What is a Rubber Duck Race you might ask? When a $10 Rubber Duck Raffle ticket is purchased, the number on your ticket will match the number on the bottom of a little rubber duck, the same type of duck that you play with in your bathtub. The ducks are placed in the Metedeconk River in Pine Park and they race or rather float down the river to the finish line. The first duck that crosses the finish line wins the Grand Prize which is a Complete Home Entertainment System, with Large Screen TV Blu-Ray DVD and Surround Sound, Valued at $2,000. The day is also filled with games for the kids, free face painting, music and more. Food and drink will also be available for purchase.
The Rubber Duck Race has raised over $50,000 over the past years, 100% of the proceeds go the Knights of Columbus which supports many local and national charities. The Rubber Duck Race has been a huge success and we are expecting this year's race to be no different.
